Mario Maker returns to the crazy side of Nintendo

After a string of easily recognizable Nintendo characters, like Midna and Wolf Link, the Tanooki Suit Statue, and Toadette, Nintendo once again delves into the realm of quirky Japanese characters, that most Westerners won't recognize, with Yu Ayasaki.

This is the second character from the Japanese-only Daigasso! Band Brothers P, the first being the very slightly more recognizable Barabara the Bat. Check out the trailer below as Yu Ayasaki makes her way through a level of blade and fire, yelling JANPU and EHHHH as she leaps her way to victory.

Regardless of what you think of the sounds tied to her jump, you have to admit her ending tune is pretty cute.
