The Pebble e-paper watch for iOS and Android made a lot of money off Kickstarter last year — over $10 million, actually. Preorders are still backed up as the company ships well into the spring.
People who are lucky enough to own one of the smartwatches are finding ways to bring their love of video games to the device.
Thanks to the SDK that Pebble released, the creators at My Pebble Faces have been uploading custom designs for the small black-and-white screen — including themes like Galaga and animated 8-bit representations of famous video game characters Pikachu, Mario, and Link.
One person has even made a functioning Tetris clone. Hey, it's better than playing on a calculator.
