Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is getting a Season Pass

With its release just days away, Ubisoft has revealed that Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle will be getting a Season Pass. While games getting Season Passes are nothing new, it's more the fact that it's happening to a Mario-brand game that's significant. Ubisoft revealed the news in an official press release earlier today alongside details about what we can expect from it.

First off, Season Pass owners will have access to eight exclusive Steampunk weapons right when the game launches. Each weapon is said to have "its own statistics," which should present multiple opportunities to expand on player strategy.  On top of that, the game will be getting additional challenge modes that players can tackle solo or in co-op with a buddy.

And finally, what is perhaps the most significant part of the Season Pass is that the game will get a story expansion that will release some time in 2018.

The details on the pass are admittedly sparse, but we can expect more to come shortly. Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle releases exclusively for Nintendo Switch on August 29th, 2017.
