The game where Waluigi got his start in the Mario universe is coming to the Wii U Virtual Console.
Mario Tennis (64) will be available tomorrow as the fifth N64 game to be added to the service, just after The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was added last week.
Did you use your remaining Club Nintendo coins on Mario Tennis 64 during its final hours? If yes, and you also redeemed the code under Wii Mode on your Wii U, then you can upgrade to the eShop version for $2 instead of paying the standard price of $9.99.
If you've never played this entry of Mario Tennis, know that the soundtrack — composed by Motoi Sakuraba — is defined by its hard-edged and hectic tracks that well match the pace of gameplay, compared to the more easygoing music heard in later installments. It's a real treat.
Don't forget to visit the game's Miiverse community when it opens to see all the Waluigi drawings that are sure to come flooding in.
