Yesterday, Ubisoft announced that the Assassin's Creed movie has offically entered production. So far, we know that the film is being directed by Justin Kurzel, written by Exodus writers Adam Cooper and Bill Collage, and will star Michael Fassbender. We also know when the movie is set to release, December 21, 2016. Unfortunately, that's about all we know — until today.
The cast for Ubisoft and New Regency's film just got a little more fleshed out, as Oscar winner and current Oscar nominee, Marion Cotillard, is said to be joining the Assassin's Creed cast. Her role is expected to recur in future Assassin's Creed films. Cotillard has appeared in Inception (Leo's wife) The Dark Knight Rises (Talia Al Ghul), won an Oscar for La Vie en Rose and is currently nominated for an Oscar this year for Two Days, One Night.
