Mark Norris expands on what makes Horizon Zero Dawn a game to keep on your radar.

There’s no question that the Sony exclusive, Horizon: Zero Dawn is slatted to be one of the most visually stunning games we’ve seen so far. Taking us into a surreal version of our world, filled with biomechanoid creatures and weapons that appear rudimentary at first glance, the main character, Aloy, is depicted as an expert craftswoman and that skill will be indispensable as you progress.

Guerrilla Games’s Mark Norris provided more insight via the PlayStation blog stating, “You probably guess early on that she’s not this indiscriminate hunter that just runs around and wants to kill things. She only does so with a purpose.” Elaborating on the weapons options, “(the ammo slots and types) are actually a very strategic and tactical choice that allows for a lot of character customization.”

“One of the things that makes Aloy incredibly unique is that she has this ability to understand the machines…she’s able to use (their) own weapons against them.” There will also be an in depth perks system and talent tree, quests and exploring the world both providing XP as well as the actual battles you engage in to create a fully rounded RPG.

Horizon: Zero Dawn comes to PlayStation 4 in 2016.
