In August of 2009, The Walt Disney Company acquired Marvel Entertainment for $ billion. Since then, we've had no shortage of Marvel content from Disney, except in Disney Infinity. That could all change, if a new trailer posted by Marvel Entertainment is any indication.
A 27-second video clip, titled "Get Ready to Assemble," teases the arrival of the Avengers in Disney's hit game which takes toy figurines of characters from all of Disney's various properties and brings them to live in a digital sandbox world limited only by your imagination. The video only shows Captain America's shield zooming past characters like Dash from The Incredibles, Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story, Captain Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean, and Sully from Monsters, Inc.
At the end of the clip is a line that teases: "Bring on the Super Heroes," along with a label mentinoing a "2.0 Edition of Disney Infinity. It's unclear at this point if 2.0 means a complete sequel or if this is some sort of enhanced version, with extra content, possibly for next-gen systems as well.
