Marvel & DeNA releases free mobile games Marvel Mighty Heroes for iOS and Android devices

Marvel fans have a new mobile game to play today, as DeNA and Marvel Entertainment launched Marvel Mighty Heroes, a real-time co-op brawler game for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Android phones and tablets. The game will have four players play as iconic Marvel characters, collect and level-up heroes, and equip abilities.

Players in Marvel Mighty Heroes will assemble a team of super heroes from the likes of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Spider-Man, Star-Lord, Hawkeye, Hulk, and even super villains. Every character has his/her own powerful and upgradeable abilities, as well as alternate costumes. After players choose their squad, they will team up with up to four players from around the world to complete missions. there are leaderboards, multiplayer events like co-op defense and boss battles, and regular updates will add more original content.

the game features a story written by Fred Van Lente, creator of Marvel Comics like X-Men Noir, The Amazing Spider-Man and Marvel Zombies 3-5. Today actually kicks off the first event in the game — a six-part weekly "Infinity" series that has the Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy teaming up to battle Thanos the Mad Titan.

Players that registered and voted for a free character will receive Hulk as a special in-game reward for players to download the first week of the game. If you're interested in giving Marvel Mighty Heroes a go, you can download it for free on the App Store or Google Play.

I play a lot of Marvel Puzzle Quest, so I'll give this a try and let you know how I like it!
