Marvel goes to confession with new Daredevil image

Matt Murdock's dad was a fighter... and he lost a lot

Marvel's Daredevil series on Netflix is approaching. The trailer for it was amazing, and with every image release and tease, our hearts grow fonder.

The series stars Charlie Cox as Daredevil/Matt Murdock, alongside Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Rosario Dawson and Vincent D'Onofrio. Marvel's Daredevil is a live-action series that follows Matt Murdock, who in a tragic accident was blinded as a boy but imbued with extraordinary senses. Now, Matt fights injustice by day as a respected lawyer and by night as the masked vigilante known as Daredevil in Hell's Kitchen, New York.

Today, Marvel tweeted a new image from the show's official Twitter account. That image shows Matt Murdock confessing to a priest, and the quote with it unveils that his father was a boxer — the same as his comic book origins.

Daredevil is the first of several Marvel Comics characters coming to Netflix with their own series. Daredevil will be followed by Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and Defenders.

All episodes of Marvel's Daredevil will air on Netflix on April 10, 2015.
