Marvel has cast the leads for their upcoming ‘Cloak and Dagger’ series

Marvel and ABC Studios has cast the lead roles for the upcoming 'Cloak and Dagger' series.

There have been several rumors and speculation about somewhat obscure Marvel heroes that would finally see the light of day in the form of new television series'. Out of the few that have been confirmed, one show in particular is already moving forward with a pair of affable young actors to take the reigns of its main characters. The upcoming 'Cloak and Dagger' series, expected to premiere on Freeform in late 2018, has just cast Aubrey Joseph as Tyrone Johnson, aka Cloak, and Olivia Holt as Tandy Bowen, aka Dagger.

If you're unfamiliar with Cloak and Dagger, the pair are a crime fighting duo of misunderstood youngsters. Already feeling shunned and rejected by society as mutants, Tyrone Johnson and Tandy Bowen also have to deal with their troubled pasts repectively. Upon finding each other, they discover a friendship like no other; one that may have saved them both from their own demons. Now, Tyrone, with the ability to teleport and become intangible, and Tandy, with the power to manipulate light into different usable forms as well as heal others with a single touch, they fight evil alongside other Marvel heroes as Cloak and Dagger.
