Marvel has released the first official image of Ghost Rider in ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’

Fitzsimmons is gonna have their hands full explaining this one!

Marvel and ABC has released the first official image of Gabriel Luna as Robbie Reyes aka Ghost Rider.

At this year's San Diego Comic Con International, Marvel Studios released a lot of content to give DC a run for its money. One of the many announcements was the reveals that the newest upcoming season of ABC's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. would be featuring the Spirit of Vengeance himself, Ghost Rider.

There was a lot of speculation as to which version they would be attempting, especially considering there have been a few heroes to don the mantle like Johnny Blaze or Danny Ketch. Apparently, they made the choice to go with the newest version fo the character, Robbie Reyes. If you're unfamiliar, Reyes is a kid from East Los Angeles who gets caught up in the local gangs in his attempt to take care of his family, particularly his disabled brother. After meeting his unfortunate death, he is resurrected with the demon powers of the Ghost Rider in tow.

Executive producer, Jed Whedon, had this to say on the direction they plan to take the character:

“As always, we are going to put our own spin on the character. We are staying true to the comics in the places where we feel like it’s really important — we love the character’s family dynamic and the East L.A. kid in him.”
