Before Gazillion closes out 2014, they've got one more surprise for Marvel Heroes 2015 — a new playable character. With the roster already more than doubled from launch, Venom is now joining the fray as the third playable villain and 43rd playable character in Marvel Heroes 2015.
"As the Lethal Protector, players will be able to utilizing the webbing taken from Spider-Man combined with the powerful alien Symbiote to take down their enemies. Along with Venom’s Ultimate, We Are Venom, players will become much larger and the Symbiote will lash out at nearby enemies, inflicting immense damage for a limited duration."
“Unique to Venom, Ichor serves as his primary resource, replacing Spirit entirely, and accumulates as Venom uses powers that drain his own health – representing the host’s constant battle with the Symbiote,” explained Michael May, Systems Designer of Gazillion. “With unique skill trees including Monstrosity, which deal incredible damage, and some powers that become stronger while the host is low on health, Venom creates a completely unique gameplay experience where players are balancing their health while maximizing their damage output.”
Players can now purchase Venom or unlock him via Eternity Splinters that are earned naturally through gameplay progression. Here's what the Venom Hero Bundle includes:
