Rockstar Games has announced the upcoming Max Payne 3 Comics Series. The company will be teaming up with Marvel Comics to publish the the three-part series under its Marvel Custom Solutions line.
The comic books, which will be available digitally and in limited print, will revisit events from both Max Payne and Max Payne 2, and they will also explore new happenings in the depraved world of gaming's most depressing protagonist. The series will also "shed new light on Max's early years."
The comic books will be written by Rockstar's Sam Houser and Remedy's Sam Lake, who we can all thank for writing the first two incredible games in the series. "After the Fall" is the first issue in this short series, and it will be available for free through both the offical Max Payne 3 website and the Rockstar Newswire.
A comic book series based on Max Payne? Well, that was certainly a no-brainer! It's a shame that the actual print editions will only be limited edition, but I guess that gives collectors and fans more incentive to really try and snag them!
