Marvel releases the first cast photo for Hulu’s ‘Runaways’

Marvel has revealed the first official cast photo for the upcoming MCU series, 'Runaways', on Hulu.

It was announced last year that 'Runaways', one of Marvel's more obscure titles, would be getting its own series on Hulu. The comic series, while beloved by fans, was never a cultural powerhouse in the mainstream. Fortunately, we live in an era where studios are taking more risks with comic book adaptations, all which seem to be paying off, 'Runaways' now being one of those titles.

With the official cast in place as of February, fans have been waiting eagerly for a glimpse of what the series has in store. Thanks to the fine people at Marvel Studios and Hulu, we have the first official cast photo for the series:

If you're unfamiliar, 'Runaways' centers on a team of teenagers who (you guessed it!) run away from their respective families after discovering they all belong to an evil cult of supervillains and masterminds. Constantly on the move, these teens grow to care and love one another in a world full of heroes and monsters, despite the differences that initially separate them. The series is expected to take place within the same Marvel Cinematic Universe continuity as the movies, Netflix series', and television shows like 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' No official full release date has been announced, but its expected to premiere on Hulu sometime in 2018.

The San Diego Comic Con is right around the corner, so expect some more updates on the series in the months to come.
