Marvel's Black Panther film is a little over a year away from release and still hasn't begun filming. According to a new report, we now know the location and date production will begin.
According to Onlocationvacations, Black Panther will begin filming next month on January 15th in Atlanta, Georgia. The Pinewood Atlanta Studios will serve as the production hub during filming, which is said to take several months. Marvel is going to have to be full speed ahead on filming, as they will only have approximately 10 months left after filming before release in 2018.
We have been privy to a number of casting selections for the movie, including Angela Bassett as T'Challa's mom, Michael B. Jordan, Forrest Whitaker and more. A number of other characters including Lupita N'yongo round out the full cast, with Chadwick Boseman resuming his role as the Black Panther himself.
The film will take place after the events of Captain America: Civil War and release on February 16th, 2018
