Marvel vs. Capcom 4 Reported Release in 2017

The Marvel vs Capcom series has been praised throughout its sequels as a solid arcade fighter. Despite some negatively recieved DLC shenanigans in Marvel vs Capcom 3, the fighting game has always held high praise for its mash-up of Marvel and Capcom characters.

Despite the recent news of Capcom's plan to nix the Xmen from the roster, there has been reports of an official unveiling of a fourth installment of the series. According to Polygon, Marvel vs. Capcom 4 will be revealed at the Playstation Experience, which goes from December 3-4.

While the most recent Marvel vs Capcom game was released on both PS3 and Xbox 360, the reveal at a Playstation event may point to an exclusive title, though it is unclear at this time. It could just be that the series is more popular among Playstation fans.

Very little is known about the game besides its shift in Marvel focus, but hopefully Capcom has learned its lesson with DLC from the last round.
