Marvel vs. Capcom is a classic arcade fighter pitting classic characters from both franchises. We've had three iterations thus far, but a new entry titled Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite is on its way. Set to launch late this year, we haven't heard much in the way of news on it, but hopefully, that changes very soon.
NeoGAF forums member Ryce, who had talked about Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite's 2 vs. 2 system before the game's official reveal last year, has talked more on the subject regarding a press event that was held last week. The press event had an embargo that will apparently lift soon.
"So I hear there was an MvCI press event in Germany a few days ago and that the embargo lifts at the end of the week. There are some big surprises in store, which I’m not going to spoil out of respect to Capcom."
All the way back in January, Ryce talked about characters that have still yet to be revealed. One of which is an obscure Capcom villain.
"I know that if I was in everyone else’s shoes and it’s been a month since new information was revealed I’d take any semblance of a hint I could get. To me, the hype train is half the fun of a new MvC coming out. It’s hard hearing something cool about one of my favorite series and keeping it completely secret. I promised not to reveal the character by name or the IP that he or she hails from, but here’s a hint: the character is a villain. I know Capcom has lots of interesting and obscure villains, but that’s all I can say without giving too much away."
The original thread can be found here with speculations. Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite launches in late 2017 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
