Marvelous Entertainment to Bring Crop Farming in Hi-Def!

Looking to crop farms in hi-def? Wish Farmville and We Farm had more to offer? Then this announcement is for you as Harvest Moon developer, Marvelous Entertainment recently revealed Rune Factory Oceans via Famitsu. Centering around two protagonists, Azel (male) and Sonia (female), Oceans will let the player choose which gender they wish to play; a first for the RPG/farming-sim Harvest Moon spin-off.

Everything that players love about the series is returning for this sequel, including the ability to get married, dating-sim elements, and realtime combat. New will be the ability to ride around on the back of a giant named Ymir that lets you visit surrounding islands for items, exploration, etc. Famitsu also stated that players will have the ability to fight on the back of the giant as well.

The game is set for release on the Wii and PlayStation 3 on February 24, 2011 and will support motion controls for the Wii and PS3.
