Marvel’s Iron Man VR Demo out today and VR Bundle announced

Sony has put a demo for the virtual reality game of the iconic Marvel superhero out today. Owners of a PSVR – and PS4 of course – can now try out to live out their fantasy of becoming a real superhero in Iron Man VR.

After years of being relegated to the background in pop culture, the Marvel Cinematic Universe established Iron Man as the poster boy of the entire franchise. Not the least thanks to Robert Downey Jr.’s excellent portrayal of the show-off genius/selfless hero.

But despite experiencing insane success in theatres, the gaming scene really only got one standout video game with Marvel’s Spider-Man. No question Sony’s own interests in that specific character helped. Square Enix’s Marvel’s Avengers is likely to become the definitive MCU game. But that doesn’t mean you’ll have to wait until this September to become a hero.

Iron Man VR is ready to fulfill that desire in an unprecedented amount of immersion, thanks to virtual reality. And with today’s launch of the demo, you won’t even have to wait until the game’s proper launch on July 3rd. You’ll have to own a PSVR of course since the game is a strict VR title. But Sony got you covered with a newly unveiled PlayStation VR Marvel’s Iron Man VR Bundle will get you up and ready with all the things you need.

The bundle includes a PlayStation VR headset, PlayStation Camera, two PlayStation Move motion controllers, Marvel’s Iron Man VR Blu-ray disc, and a PS VR Demo Disc. The asking price of $349.99 USD might seem a bit high but you have to remember that there are plenty of other great VR games already available for the PlayStation 4. And since Iron Man VR is exclusive to the PS4, there really is no other choice if you want to play the game. With a new and improved PSVR likely coming out in the near future for the PlayStation 5, it’s up to you whether buying the original so close to next-gen makes sense.
