Mass Effect 3 for Xbox 360 is only $40

It didn't take long for Microsoft to discount Mass Effect 3.  Less than two weeks after BioWare's blockbuster shooter launched, and you can already purchase it for only $39.99.

For a limited time, you can buy Mass Effect 3 for Xbox 360 for $39.99 from the online Microsoft store.  While the game will first appear as $59.99, when you get to the shopping cart you will notice the $20 discount.  And in case you were wondering, UPS Ground shipping is free if you don't mind waiting three to seven business days.  For those a little less patient, you can get UPS 2nd day for $9.99 or UPS Next Day for $16.99, but then you're really not saving much are you?

Mass Effect 3 is the thrilling conclusion to BioWare's highly touted Mass Effect series.  In it, you battle as Commander Shepard, theonly person who can save Earth from annihilation, and take part in an all-out galactic war to take Earth back from the dreaded Reapers.

Although Mass Effect 3 has received rave reviews from critics, the game has been met with some hostility from fans of the series who were less than pleased with the game's "polarizing" ending.

The Xbox 360 game discounts don't stop there, however.  Other discounted games for only $39.99 for the Xbox 360 include Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, MLB 2K12, and Forza Motorsport 4.
