BioWare has been saying that the next installment in the Mass Effect franchise will not be Mass Effect 4 and it shouldn't be called Mass Effect 4 as it would be a a "disservice" to the game. Well, it's officially been named and it is not Mass Effect 4.
The latest game in the Mass Effect universe is Mass Effect: Andromeda. From here on out, we can no longer refer to the game as Mass Effect 4.
The E3 2015 presentation opened up with Mass Effect: Andromeda, there were no words simply Mass Effect. The game will be headed to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC in 2016 and was revealed with a nearly two minute long trailer.
