Electronic Arts and Bioware know how much everyone is eagerly awaiting the next installment in the Mass Effect series; Andromeda. Since its announcement, both the developer and the publisher have been playing their cards close to the chest with very few actual demos of the game being displayed at shows such as E3. The reason being, it seems, is that EA isn't afraid to delay the game if needed.
During their quarterly earning conference call, EA CFO Blake Jorgensen had the following to say about Andromeda:
"Right now, Mass Effect is tracking extremely well. The game looks beautiful. And we're really pleased with its progress. However, as you've seen, we are willing to make moves in launch dates if we feel it's necessary to deliver the right player experience."
Jorgensen went into further detail, stating that the delay could be a handful of weeks or several months: however long BioWare needed to perfect their product.
As of right now, we are unsure of exactly when Mass Effect: Andromeda will drop. After being pushed back from 2016 to the first quarter of 2017, an Amazon listing hints that the game could release on March 21st of next year! As soon as we have an official release date, you can bet we'll post it right here on the site! But for now, we can only hope that BioWare is doing everything they can to hit that early 2017 release.
