Mass Effect: Andromeda devs “absolutely listening” to fans, investigating updates for complaints

Yesterday saw the release of Mass Effect: Andromeda on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, and with it, the release of patch 1.04. Unfortunately, the patch didn't come with in-depth details just a description that it contained "various improvements and bug fixes." As expected, there was no fix for the facial animations.

The facial animations have been hit with so much criticism, that it even lead to an EA employee getting harassed for detailing that they were the lead facial animator for Andromeda.

Ian Frazier, the lead designer behind Mass Effect: Andromeda, has promised fans that BioWare is  "absolutely listening," to fans concerned with the game. The developer went on to say that BioWare was looking at how to improve facial animations.

"We're looking at patching lots of issues and want to strongly support the game moving forward," lead designer Ian S. Frazier wrote on Twitter last night. "I can't say more just yet." Frazier continued responding to concerned fans on Twitter, saying that he "Can't promise anything yet" as far as the character creator goes, but said that BioWare is "currently evaluating various options for making it better."

When asked on a timeframe for updates, Frazier said that they couldn't detail that because of the sheer number of issues being investigated.

"Nope, sorry," Frazier wrote. "We're investigating a large number of things right now, don't want to promise anything I can't deliver."

Meanwhile, fans can head to the forums to report bugs in Mass Effect: Andromeda. At the moment, the hottest issues are the dialogue wheel stopping, an infinite load screen, and an audio bug.
