Mass Effect: Andromeda released at the end of March to… some less than positive reviews. Many felt the sci-fi game lacked a lot of what the original trilogy had. A really interesting, diverse group of memorable characters and most importantly, a game that just wasn't buggy as hell. On the positive side, lots of fans and some critics commended the game's deep story that didn't feel like a rehash of what the original trilogy did and many players seemed to genuinely enjoy the gameplay and combat. Sadly, a lot of the bugs and glitches discouraged a lot of people and lead to a poor response to the game.
Andromeda left a bad taste in the mouths of many players and it seems Bioware is trying to distance themselves as much as possible. The team has gone silent and reports say most members of the team have moved on to other projects such as Anthem and the next Dragon Age game with a small number working on patches and other little things. The game's negative backlash has also lead to Bioware reportedly canning any plans for Mass Effect: Andromeda single player DLC so don't hold your breath for more Mass Effect within the next year or so.
