Mass Effect: Andromeda Will Not Have Dedicated Servers for Multiplayer

Mass Effect: Andromeda is a hotly anticipated title from Bioware. While many things about the title look great, this may not be. Peer-to-peer multiplayer, with no cross play planned (PC to Xbox, etc.)

This news comes from producer Fernando Melo himself, claiming the finished project will not have dedicated servers. The lack of cross-play isn't a big surprise, considering that's been more of a premium option for more multi-player focused games, but peer-to-peer doesn't bode well. p2p servers are known to be fairly insecure and susceptible to hackers.

Does this pose a valid concern, or are the multiplayer aspects of Mass Effect: Andromeda secondary enough to not cause alarm?
