Masters of the Universe re-cut to The Force Awakens’ trailer is amazing

There's certainly no shortage of Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer mashups on the internet, proving that  an iconic score and some well-timed cuts can make just about any movie 100 times better.

Case in point, 1987's Masters of the Universe. Somehow YouTuber Mike Furth managed to make this awesomely terrible action-adventure look like the next summer blockbuster. If not for the dated graphics, this could totally rival some of today's blockbusters.

If this trailer got you excited, I've got some good news for you: Sony Pictures (along with Escape Artist) are planning a reboot of Masters of the Universe, with Thor: Ragnarok writer Christopher Yost onboard to pen the screenplay.
