The Laughing Magician gets another shot as Matt Ryan will be reprising the role of John Constantine for CW’s Arrow. NBC cancelled Constantine a while back, just as the series was finally finding its footing after a labored initial start. It looks like he’ll be brought in to manage the after affects of Sara’s resurrection during the episode Haunted (S4E5).
Marc Guggenheim, Arrow’s executive producer, was excited about the reintroduction of the comic world’s favorite magician screw up, “We are thrilled to have Matt Ryan reprise the role of John Constantine on an upcoming episode of Arrow. Matt is an incredibly talented actor and his portrayal of this beloved character was always something we admired. The introduction of magic and mysticism on the show this season has provided a truly organic opportunity for us to bring John Constantine to ‘Arrow’ and the CW’s DC universe. It will be a well-deserved tip of the hat to all the Constantine fans who were so incredibly supportive of that series.”
Arrow returns October 7th on CW and Haunted will be airing on November 4th.
