May 2015’s PS Plus games announced for PS4, PS3, and Vita

As promised, Sony has revealed the free lineup of PlayStation Plus games for May 2015. Arriving next week, PS Plus members can look forward to the following PS4, PS3, and Vita games for free.

Note: So far only PlayStation Europe has made the official announcement, but typically the NA and EU lineups are the same, save for maybe a game or two difference. We'll be sure to make note of any differences once announced.

May 2015 PS Plus for Europe

Despite the lack of a blockbuster title, it's a pretty solid lineup. Hohokum is a trippy game that I've been dying to play since its release. Of course, knowing a game like this would eventually go free, I have yet to play it myself. In our review on GameZone, it scored an impressive 8/10.

Ether One is another exciting indie game — a mind-twisting adventure in which there are two ways to approach. At its core, Ether One is "story exploration path free from puzzles where you can unfold the game’s mysterious story at your own pace. But you can also take a deeper, more adventurous approach in which you’ll have to tackle complex puzzles. The choice is up to you."

Guacamelee!, of course, is a solid game and the Super Turbo Championship Edition adds all sorts of new content in addition to all of the previously released DLC. If you haven't played it on PS3 already — heck, even if you already have — it's worth jumping into again.

Unfinished Swan is another great indie puzzle game that I absolutely loved when I played it on PS3. In this game, you enter the surreal world through an unfinished painting and explore a mysterious, hidden kingdom. Your joureyy is led by a runaway swan who guides you through strange levels filled with bizarre creatures and challenging puzzles.

Race the Sun is a high-speed game that uses simple controls and is set in a procedurally generated world. The goal is to get the highest possible score by racing into the sunset, avoiding obstacles and enemies, and collecting speed boosts and other powerups to help you along the way. Admittedly, I'm not too familiar with it, but it scored an 8/10 here on GameZone. That's what I love about PS Plus, it opens my world to new games and experiences.

And lastly, Murasaki Baby is something truly unique for PS Vita owners. It tells the story of a little girl who wakes up in a weird world, populated by children's fantasies and fears. It's your job to guide her through the puzzles that she encounters.
