McDonald’s Szechuan Sauce sitting at $20K on eBay thanks to Rick and Morty

Thanks to Rick and Morty, the price of Szechuan Sauce has reached an all-time high – specifically the price of McDonald's brand Szechuan Sauce. Scammers have tasted the thirst for that sauce and have taken the appropriate measures to rip off Szechuan craving Rick and Morty fans.

Step one of ripping off those would-be Szechuan Sauce lovers was heading to McDonald's one the one day they had stocked up on the sauce and getting as many packets as humanly possible. Once McDonald's ran out, they went on to the second step, putting it up on eBay – the place where any sold out item goes to get purchased at a high price.

Right now, there are new Rick and Morty Szechuan Sauces sitting at $20,000 – $10,000 on eBay. There's even an authentic Szechuan Sauce, in its own protective case sitting at $17,300. You might be thinking, no one would buy Szechuan Sauce at that price, but someone already did. They spent $14,700 on sauce.

Heck, there's even a guy selling Honey Mustard with 'Rick and Morty' written on it in black sharpie. The faux Szechuan Sauce even features hand drawings of Rick and Mr. Poopybutthole on it (Mr. Poopybutthole is exclaiming 'ooooweee' but without the 'w').

Now, it should be noted that McDonald's is bringing back the sauce again – later this year. Spread the news and make these scammers feel sorry for hoarding Szechuan Sauce.
