Mechwarrior Online Open Beta date announced

Itching to outfit your mech with crazy amounts of firepower and take down your competition? You'll soon be able to as Mechwarrior Online will be entering Open Beta starting October 16th.

We were able to check it out during its Closed Beta phase, and left pretty impressed. GameZone writer Heath Hooker stated, "Great controls, awesome mechs, and solid online play are already there. With a few more additions, I have a feeling that MechWarrior Online is going to be something special to new and old MechWarrior fans alike."

You don't have to take our word for it however, you'll be able to jump in the game starting October 16th. However, for those more dedicated fans of mechs, you can still partake in the Founders Program, which allows you to donate in one of three tiers, all of which grant you certain bonuses to your account.
