Medal of Honor: Warfighter to release on October 23rd

EA has announced that Medal of Honor: Warfighter will be released internationally on October 23rd.

After announcing Medal of Honor: Warfighter last month along with some of the game's early artwork, EA has released the debut trailer, giving us our first look at the game in action.

The sequel to the 2010 reboot is being developed by Danger Close studios and follows the story of Tier 1 Operators.  Medal of Honor: Warfighter will also be powered by Frostbite 2.0, the same engine behind the visually stunning Battlefield 3.

According to EA, "Warfighter delivers an aggressive, gritty, and authentic experience that puts gamers in the boots of today's most precise and disciplined warriors in an up close and personal look at today's battlefield and the fight against the ongoing global terror threat. Inspired by actual events, and written by active Tier 1 Operators while deployed overseas. When an extremely deadly explosive (PETN) penetrates civilian borders, Preacher and his fellow teammates are sent in to solve the problem."

According to CVG, Preacher, Voodoo, Mother, and players from the last game will return.  Isabela City in the Philippines was mentioned as a possible location.  Fans can also expect a hardcore one-shot kill mode and some form of co-op support.

Medal of Honor: Warfighter will be released on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
