Media Molecule teases new game ahead of PS4 reveal

LittleBigPlanet developer Media Molecule, over the weekend, updated the "games" portion of their website. In doing so, the studio revealed a new teaser for a "mysterious" upcoming game.

The new project is listed as "?", and the dedicated page contains a YouTube video of Toyah Willcox singing "It's a Mystery." Attempting to scour the source code for any hints, Media Molecule has cleverly teased the keywords: "what are we doing at the moment, exactly, mystery, new game, how awesome will it be?, who knows."

Media Molecule is currently working Tearaway, a new papercraft adventure game for the PlayStation Vita. With Tearaway having already been revealed and looking near complete, we don't believe this new teaser is related.

However, given the impending PlayStation 4 announcement (presumably taking place next week), I assume this is related to Sony's new console. And with Media Molecule handing off LittleBigPlanet 3 development to Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing studio Sumo Digital, we could be looking at another brand new IP from the UK studio. Will it be for the PlayStation 4? Hopefully all will be answered come February 20th.
