Mega Man is back in Mega Man Legacy Collection 2, Capcom announced today. Four of classic Mega Man's titles will be bundled into one collection with bonus content and challenges.
The original Mega Man Legacy Collection bundled the original 8-bit Mega Man titles, while Legacy Collection 2 covers Mega Man 7, 8, 9 and 10. These titles took place after the 8-bit era, journeying into the 16 and 32-bt days of gaming.
Mega Man 9 brought the retro look of the originals back to the series with a return to 8-bit. Lastly, Mega Man 10 kept with the 8-bit look, along with adding Proto Man and Bass as playable characters. All DLC included in Mega Man 10 is included in this complete collection.
Additionally, there are new modes, including an "extra armor" option that reduces damage for newer players to the series. There are also checkpoint saves for today's pick-up-and-play mentality of gaming. There are also remixed stages in the Challenge mode for a little more spice. Lastly, a full museum is featured with production art, sketches and other art assets. There's also a music player with all the music and remixes.
The game will release in August 2017. Pre-orders of physical copies are detailed here.
