Mercenary Kings coming to PS4 on April 1

Tribute Games' side-scrolling shoot 'em up Mercenary Kings is coming to PlayStation 4 on April 1st.

For those unfamiliar, this action-packed adventure sees you choose between Empress and King, two members of an elite squad known as the Mercenary Kings. You're dropped on to Mandragora Island where you must rescue the brilliant Dr. James Neil from the forces of C.L.A.W. (Cyber Loyalist Active Weapons) and prevent them from using the Mandrake Formula for global domination.

In addition to the action, materials you gather during missions can be used to create powerful weapons. "With 300+ gun parts and more than 100 knives, the possibilities are huge!" teased writer Yannick Belzil. "Will you craft a machine gun with mega-ammo, or a quick-reload pistol? What about forging a blade with deadly range?"

Mercenary Kings can be played alone or with up to four players locally or online. Pricing wasn't revealed on the PS Blog, but Mercenary Kings is currently available on Steam for $14.99. So it can be assumed that the PSN version will be priced similarly.
