Mercy update for Gods Will Be Watching enables removal of elements of chance

In our review of Gods Will Be Watching, one of the major complaints our reviewer Joe Donato had, was the random element of chance, that no matter the decisions you've made, could still result in you completely losing the scenario. Great news though, Deconstructeam and Devolver Digital are releasing a new update, aptly titled the Mercy Update, which will be making the game a lot more bearable.

You'll be able to tweak the difficulty a bit more, as well as completely removing the elements of chance from your decisions in the game. Though Devolver Digital still states that the game is still no cakewalk.

"The team is very happy with the release of Gods Will Be Watching and the reception of the intense challenge we set out to deliver, but we've also been listening carefully to all the feedback, and we want to make the game as accessible as possible to every kind of player,” said Deconstructeam designer Jordi de Paco. “The Mercy Update is the result of our team’s discussions with both fans and critics, refining the game and creating new settings that allow more gamers to experience Gods Will Be Watching at a comfortable challenge level."

The Mercy Update is available today.
