Merida and Maleficent revealed in new Disney Infinity 2.0 Edition trailer

Disney Interactive announced today the two latest playable characters for the upcoming 2.0 Edition of Disney Infinity — Merida and Maleficent.

These two new characters will be playable in the Toy Box 2.0 mode of the game, just like all of the previously released characters.

Merida brings a sharp sword and bow combo attacks with ricocheting arrows. She can upgrade her aim with elemental freeze arrows that will freeze enemies in front of her, and then follow that up with rapid shots. She's an athletic archer and sword fighter. Move over Hawkeye!

Maleficent will use magical powers in melee and ranged combat. She utilizes projectile and area of effect attacks that will hit multiple targets in a specified area. She can also summon brambles from the ground and raves to attack targets.

Both characters will be available this fall. By the way, I asked for both of these characters in my 35 things we would love to see come to Disney Infinity article.
