Metal Gear Online is now live for console owners

Players can now take their stealth and infiltration prowess online as the competitive mode, Metal Gear Online, launches on consoles.

Metal Gear Online will pit players against each other in squads, as well as allow players to choose from three distinct classes with unique abilities. Furthermore, all Collector's Edition content as well the Day One XP boost can be applied to Metal Gear Online as well, which will unlock the gold WU S Pistol and AMR MRS-4 weapons, as well as a Metal Gear Rex Helmet.

The PC version of MGO is still unavailable, though according to the press release, is still scheduled to release in January 2016.

Metal Gear Online can be accessed directly from The Phantom Pain's main menu, just make sure your copy of The Phantom Pain is fully patched up.
