Konami has made some… interesting choices regarding the future of the Metal Gear series over the last few years. They're currently developing a Metal Gear zombie survival game using the MGS V engine, they heavily interfered with the development of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and treated Hideo Kojima very poorly, and they've turned the series into nothing but a shell of its former self.
Luckily, Konami has made a very smart move and has put Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance on Xbox One's backward compatibility feature. The Metal Gear spin-off starring Raiden was developed by Platinum Games and released on the Xbox 360. It was a big departure for the series in terms of gameplay as it introduced super fast paced melee combat and more. The game was received well by both critics and fans and many have been begging for a sequel/remaster. While it sounds like there are no plans for either, hopefully, this will tide fans over.
