Metal Gear Solid keeps you mildly entertained between cut scenes

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain released this week and received immediate acclaim. As custom to the franchise, the level of detail in the graphics is impeccable. On the other hand, even the most hardened of fans have to admit the storyline has become extremely convoluted over the last 28 years of its history. This of course doesn't take away from the enjoyability of the game as many titles that exist for a long time see their stories get jumbled.

The people over at Smosh Games uploaded an Honest Trailer this week and of course it was the Metal Gear Solid series. They get right to the point with the game's cut scenes and digs starting with the very first line: "From the developer who fired everyone who made their classic franchises". Man, if that isn't accurate I don't know what is. Be sure to watch the whole video as it explores the full 28 years of the Metal Gear franchise.

If you've yet to purchase The Phantom Pain yet, remember to read our review before you do. Spoiler….it's really good.
