Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection and its 50 years of history is coming to PS3 this July

The highly anticipated release of Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Edition, a collection that bundles every core title of the series in a single box, finally has a launch day.

Konami today confirmed a July 9th release on the PS3 for The Legacy Collection which contains every canon Metal Gear release from 1998's Metal Gear Solid to 2008's Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. And yes, it even includes 2011's Metal Gear Solid HD Collection.

Yes, you get all of that and two digital graphic novels for just $49.99. The Legacy Collection marks 25 years since the first Metal Gear. Kojima Productions is working on two new entries to the series: Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain and Ground Zeroes.

Sorry, Xbox 360 owners. As of right now, the game is only coming to PS3.
