Metro: Last Light 12-minute E3 playthrough released

At E3, we had the opportunity to see a preview of Metro: Last Light, an upcoming first-person action horror game and sequel to 2010's Metro 2033.

If you remember our preview of what we saw, you may recall that the last few minutes of the gameplay demo were cut short due to a glitch in the game, leaving the ending a mystery to us. While the developers were cool about the whole thing, acting out what happened next, it still left us wondering what those last few minutes entailed.

Thankfully, THQ has released that very same 12-minute unedited playthrough. Now you can watch it for the first time, and we can enjoy the ending we missed.

Titled "Welcome to Moscow", this clip follows Artyom and a young Red Line officer named Pavel as they cross the hostile surface of a post-apocalyptic Moscow in attempt to reach the relative safety of the station city The Theatre.

While watching the gameplay demo, pay particular attention to the emphasis on survival horror elements like manually being forced to crank your head lamp and wipe the debris and dirt from your mask.

Metro: Last Light is expected to release in early 2013.
