Metro: Last Light ‘Redemption’ trailer questions humanity’s last hope

As Metro: Last Light's latest trailer suggests, an apocalyptic future doesn't necessarily mean the banding-together of all remaining survivors. In today's video, titled "Redemption," Anna, the Spartan Order of Rangers’ top sniper and daughter of their uncompromising leader Miller, ponders the weight placed upon Artyom's shoulders, while showcasing the types of enemies you'll have to fight against.

For Artyom, redemption means restoring humanity's faith in surviving what is now a radioactive wasteland. Throughout the trailer, you'll get a good feel for the types of mutant creatures — and humans — you'll encounter, including the Dark Ones, the mysterious hallucination-inducing creatures from Metro 2033

Metro: Last Light is a sequel to 2010's Metro 2033 game. The game series is based off Dmitry A. Glukhovsky acclaimed novels (Metro 2033 and Metro 2034), though Last Light is a standalone story to that of the Metro 2034 novel. The post apocalyptic title is set for release on May 14 in North America for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
