Paramount Pictures hasn't been playing coy when it comes to the Transformers franchise. In June, we will see the release of Transformers 5, The Last Knight, and in 2018 we will be seeing the release of the Bumblebee spinoff. On top of that, we know there will be a Transformers film in 2019.
Since 2007, we have been seeing one Transformers film about every two to three years, but it looks like it will be a near annual release from here on out (just like Star Wars). Director Michael Bay will be exiting the series with Transformers 5, but he has confirmed that there are fourteen new Transformers "stories" in the pipeline to Yahoo.
The announcement of 14 new stories in the Transformers series came during a preview event for The Last Knight, where Bay (wearing a Boba Fett shirt) revealed that the new stories came during the development process for The Last Knight.
It's unclear if these 14 "stories" will be films, games, animated TV movies or shows.
