With X-Men: Apocalypse has finished up filming and is headed into the VFX phase, director Bryan Singer has begun making rounds talking about the film's production and what to expect. Apparently this will be longest film yet, will be emotional and will have been spoiled before it even releases!
The film's official trailer, that hasn't been dated for release, will feature an "homage" from the end of the film. Hopefully that homage to the six movies won't be the scene that brought Singer to tears. Magneto, AKA Michael Fassbender, took a scene so far that is made tons of people on set emotional — and guess what? it might not even make the final cut.
"Michael Fassbender did something so wonderful in this movie… We're at the end of the scene, and he asked me not to call cut and when the scene was over, he continued and did something that made me cry in the tent; I've never done that before. The head of my company grabbed a Kleenex.
Simon Kinberg, the writer who has no emotions at all, actually became emotional. It was so beautiful, I've never seen an actor do this for me and [Fassbender] just took the scene to a whole 'nother level. It's a heartbreaking scene, not a typical comic book movie scene at all, so let's hope it makes the cut. But after he did it, I went up to him, hugged him and said 'Thank you, Michael, for that gift. Now I need you to do it again.' And he did it, and [frick]ing rocked it again… with full emotion."
