CW has cast Michael Ironside as Lewis Snart, the father of villains Leonard Snart/Captain Cold and Lisa Snart/Golden Glider. There isn't much information on Lewis Snart in the comic books, the information that is revealed by the comics shows that abused his son and that Leonard was taken care of his by grandfather, who ran an ice truck because of it.
The Hollywood reported described Lewis as "as a cold-blooded, ruthless career criminal. Recently released from prison, he returns to Central City with a plan that will endanger both of his children."Ironside will make his first appearance in the third episode of Season 2 (episode 203) in The Flash, alongside Wentworth Miller/Captain Cold and Peyton List /Golden Glider.
If Michael Ironside sounds a little familiar, there are a couple places you could recognize his name from. He has starred in Top Gun, Starship Troopers, Smallville and Total Recall and has voiced characters in animated versions of Batman, Superman, Justice League and Wolverine and the X-Men. The Flash is set to return for Season 2 on October 6 on The CW at 8PM.
It looks like the coming season will explore the multi-verse.
