Microsoft announces more Halo 4 pre-order bonuses

In an industry where pre-order incentives are the norm, it's quite difficult to offer items, both physical and digital, that will catch fans' attention, especially when most folks have preconceived notions of what the developers will offer. Still, developers work to include items that will catch players' eyes and make for a better overall experience, and that's just what 343 Industries and Microsoft are doing with Halo 4's pre-order bonuses.

As we reported a week ago, Microsoft announced their first official pre-order incentive for the upcoming shooter: purchase the game from Microsoft's store and receive $25 towards your next purchase. Today, though, Microsoft and 343 have unveiled a slew of bonuses for pre-ordering, including the arctic battle rifle skin that can be seen below:

In addition to the weapon skin, Microsoft released over a dozen armor skins, which feature an array of designs: oceanic, hazop, cio, and much more. Interestingly enough, these extras are currently "homeless bonuses" due to the fact that they'll only be available to specific retailer incentives for the game. You can expect to hear these retailer-specific announcements within the next month or two, which we'll cover in a future post.
