Microsoft is aware of the comments made yesterday by creative director Adam Orth in which he told gamers to "deal with it," referring to the notion that the next Xbox will always require internet connection. However, the company has chosen not to directly respond to the rumor, instead responding to the employee's comments… sort of.
"We are aware of the comments made by an employee on Twitter," Microsoft's PR firm Edelman relayed to Game Informer. "This person is not a spokesperson for Microsoft, and his personal views are not reflective of those of the company."
As for the rumor regarding an always-on requirement, Microsoft had this to say: "We have not made any announcements about our product roadmap, and have no further comment on this matter."
