While we knew it would launch this holiday, Microsoft has confirmed Xbox Series X will launch this November. Despite not giving a specific day, we can now narrow the release down to somewhere in those 30 days!
This comes after 343 Industries and Microsoft made the decision to delay their flagship title, Halo Infinite. The game was supposed to lead the charge for Xbox Series X and Microsoft likely released this news to ensure people the console wasn’t delayed as well. Despite this, Microsoft says there will be a number of games available at the launch of the console.
“We have plenty to keep you busy until Chief arrives: There will be thousands of games to play, spanning four generations, when Xbox Series X launches globally this November and over 100 optimized for Xbox Series X titles, built to take full advantage of our most powerful console, are planned for this year,” read a statement.
This aligns with Microsoft’s previous release windows for their Xbox consoles. Xbox released on November 15th, Xbox 360 released on November 22nd, 2005, and Xbox One released on November 22nd, 2013.
