Microsoft doing away with XLBA on Xbox One, reiterates: ‘Games are games!’

"Games are games are games!"

That's the approach Microsoft is taking with Xbox LIVE Arcade on the Xbox One. While the Xbox 360 segments games depending on type (arcade titles, retail, indies, etc.), Microsoft's Marc Whitten explained there is "no difference between games in the [Xbox One] store — games are games are games!"

The Chief Xbox One Platform Architect explained that you'll now find games organized "in the same pivots (most popular, new, etc.) and we'll be highlighting them in our dashboard experience."

Whitten went on to reiterate that "like all of your digital games content — you can play them on any Xbox One, and anyone can play them on your Xbox One."

How do you feel about the Xbox One doing away with the different channels?
