Microsoft gifting Xbox LIVE points for pre-orders on GTA 5, BioShock Infinite, Dead Space 3, and more

Probably recognizing their gift to Xbox 360 owners for Xbox LIVE Rewards' 20th birthday was inadequate, Microsoft is offering a new promotion. The company is giving away free Xbox LIVE points with the pre-order of certain Xbox 360 titles, including Grand Theft Auto 5, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, and Dead Space 3, among several other high profile games.

When you pre-order any of the following games from Microsoft's online store, you'll be gifted a free 1600 Microsoft Points. That's a retail value of $20 for those who refuse to succumb to Microsoft's point system. Below is the full list of titles that are part of this pre-order promotion:

  • BioShock Infinite
  • Crysis 3 Hunter Edition
  • Dead Space 3 Limited Edition
  • Artmy of TWO: The Devil's Cartel
  • Grand Theft Auto 5
  • Lost Planet 3
  • Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance
  • South Park: The Stick of Truth
  • Tomb Raider
  • Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14

If you plan on purchasing any of these games for Xbox 360, you may just want to go ahead and pre-order them now to take advantage of this free 1600 Microsoft Points.
